Smoked PorterSmoked Porter - 5.4% ABV

This is a modern take on a classic style of beer. This is not a smoked beer that tastes like an old bonfire but rather a drink that is rich with layers of flavour and a velvety mouthfeel. Dark, roasted malts bring plum, raisin and treacle flavours to the beer while a combination of lightly citric English Hops and lots of Chinook lend a balanced bitterness that lingers and pairs beautifully with the subtle beech smoked malt from Germany.

IngredientsColumbus Pale Ale - 5.8% ABV

We use a very simple malt base for this beer to showcase the characteristics of the single variety of hop. Columbus is one of the classic high alpha dual purpose hops from the USA and its flavour profile is unmistakably American – resinous, herbal and earthy with gentle citrus notes and a clean, long lasting bitterness with a delicious aroma. We add Columbus to the copper at the start of the boil then again right at the end, three times during the run-off and then more to dry-hop during conditioning, each addition bringing a different quality of the hops to the glass.

HopsWest Coast Red - 6.3% ABV

This style of beer is a modern classic from the States. True to style, it is hop forward but it also has a complex malt base which supports the spicy, resinous hop hit giving a beautifully balanced beer of great depth and complexity. We worked long and hard to get the malt base right for this beer and the end result is one of which we are very proud. Moreish and easy drinking while also being a beer to take your time over and savour. Initial bitterness gives way to biscuity malt flavours before leaving you with a long, dry, bitter finish with notes of pine and grapefruit.

Brewing processDouble IPA - 7.4% ABV

What makes a double IPA? In short- more malt, more hops and less beer; this results in a drink with great body and a character that is impossible to ignore. Inspired by brewers on both sides of the Atlantic we have brewed this beer using some classic, and some less well known American hops along with a good malt base for body and balance. Insanely bitter at the start this hard hitting DIPA soon gives way to flavours dominated by orange peel and citrus fruit, leaving a long bitter finish that just keeps on giving!
